ACNS 2023 Annual Meeting: Call for Joint International Symposia
Dear Dr. Remli
Greetings from the International Relations Committee (IRC) of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS). We hope this message finds you well and wish you and your society members a healthy and productive year.
At ACNS, we are starting preparations for our 2023 Annual Meeting, which will take place March 25-29, 2023 in Austin Texas. The call for proposals for the Scientific Symposia, Clinical Symposia and Skills Workshops is open and submission will be accepted now through Sunday, May 1, 2022. We want to specifically invite you to consider submitting a proposal for a Joint International Symposium.
Please keep in mind that Joint International Symposia proposal should be developed by a clinical neurophysiology-related national society, federation or chapter, in cooperation with ACNS. It is the intention of ACNS that these joint symposia present an opportunity for the leaders of ACNS and our counterpart societies/chapters to engage in collaboration with the goal of strengthening the relationship between the two groups.
Likewise, we thank you for passing this information on to the current leadership of your society, if you no longer serve as an officer or President.
Please note, speakers for the Joint International sessions will be required to attend the ACNS Annual Meeting in person. ACNS provides travel funding for international speakers of accepted Joint International Symposia proposals. More information about the funding, as well as the proposal requirements can be found on the ACNS website here.
This year, proposals for Joint International Symposia may be submitted via the session proposal website, and submitters are asked to please notify International Relations Committee staff liaison, Mary Baierl ([email protected]), when a submission has been completed. The International Relations Committee is pleased to assist partner societies with their submissions, including pre-review and feedback.
Joint International Symposia are a very important part of our Annual Meeting and your active participation is crucial for its success. We are here to facilitate this process every step of the way. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time throughout the process.
Thank you,
Lidia Cabañes-Martínez, MD, FACNS
Adriana Bermeo-Ovalle, MD, FACNS, FAES
